WEST HOUSTON CHARTER SCHOOL BAND PROGRAM

BAND (NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY) - Fridays 3:20-4:10 P.M.
INTERMEDIATE BAND - Fridays 4:20-5:10 P.M.

Learning to play an instrument is a new adventure for students. It
is an enriching experience for all children. The student playing an
instrument learns discipline, cooperation with others,and a new way
to a fuller, richer life.
The instruments that we have in beginner band are as follows: Trumpet, Trombone, Alto Sax, Flute, Clarinet, and Bell Kit.
The intermediate band is for students who have played their instruments for at least one school year or more.

band class dates are:

The
cost for the first child in each family to be in the band class for
the Fall 2009 semester is $185. The cost for the second child in
each family to be in the band class is $170. The cost for each
additional sibling in each family to be in the band class is $140.
If a student wants to play two instruments and signs up for two
classes, the cost of the second band class is $85.00. The workbook
that will be used for the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semesters will
be included in this fee. If a workbook is lost, you must purchase
one from a music store at your own expense. The band fees must be
paid no matter when your student starts attending the band classes.
You may make two or three payments during the semester. You must
pay for the days your student is absent from class. There will be
no refunds whatsoever. All students must provide their own
instruments and music stands and be responsible for the maintenance
of their instruments.
